Services : Preschool
Kids Cottage has a preschool/prekindergarten that offers an educational program for children ages 18 months to 5 years. Qualified teachers use their expertise to teach creative and fun learning activities for the children. The preschool uses innovative learning techniques to provide early learners the skills needed to prepare them for school. Our "Creative Curriculum" approach uses monthly themes as well as Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intellegences to promote language and communication skills, social and emotional growth, early cognitive skills, and development. Children will engage in discovery science projects, literary activities, dramatic play, computer activities, and daily read aloud. We also implement strategies and interventions needed for at risk learners to help prevent potential learning gaps.
Admission:
Admission is on a first come, first serve basis, with an overall goal of the best possible mix of race, religion, sex, and economic status.
Registration:
There is a non-refundable fee of $45.00 to register and enroll your child with Kids Cottage. First month's installment is also due at time of registration to secure your child's spot. This installment can only be refunded prior to June 1st.

Withdrawal:
A 30 day written notice is required if you should chose to withdraw your child during the school year, September-May.
Refunds:
After a 30 day withdrawal period, any advanced payments will be refunded.
Progress Reports and Conferences:
Teachers will hold conferences with parents in January and May. The students will receive a written progress report at each conference. Your involvement will give you an understanding of our program, goals, and expectations. The staff will maintain a close parent/teacher relationship. Parents should feel free to contact the school and request additional conferences if needed. All parents will receive a newsletter and calendar each month.

Children will be grouped by age according to the August 31st cut off date.
