Programs Offered
Children ages 2 to 12 years are accepted in our facility for drop-in and childcare, and parent supervised visits are also welcome. Infants may visit as long as they are accompanied by a parent during the PK Play (Parent Kid Play). Our center is unique in that children may be brought in anytime during business hours and within center capacity. We operate on a first come first serve basis.
Drop-In Childcare
$9.00/hour*
Each additional child in same family – $5.00/hour/child
The Little School at Kids Cottage is a drop-in center for children ages 2-12. Children may be dropped off at the parent’s convenience for an hourly fee. Qualified staff is available to monitor and play with the children. The center offers a multipurpose room filled with indoor play equipment. Your children will enjoy dressing up in our children’s theater or making a craft in our arts and craft room. A media center is provided with computers, TV, video games, etc. There is also an outdoor playground equipped with swings, sand, quiet shaded areas, and much more!
*As a member of The Little School at Kids Cottage Extended Care Program, your hourly rate is reduced to just $7.00/hr. Acquire within!
PK Play
Children over 1 year of age – $9.00/hour*
Each additional child in same family – $5.00/hour/child*
Parents & children under 1 year of age are free when with older siblings
The Little School at Kids Cottage provides an atmosphere for parents and their children to spend a few hours together. Children are welcome to play on our indoor/outdoor playgrounds, dress up in our costumes, use our media center, and more! Parents are responsible for children during PK Play. This means that when children are playing, parents must supervise at ALL times.
*PK Play offers a punch card which entitles you to receive every sixth visit
After-School Club
Hours: After School – 6:00pm, Monday-Friday
The Little School at Kids Cottage offers an After School Club for school-age children grades K-6 which offers homework help, snack time, and free play! At The Little School at Kids Cottage, we know how important it is to offer safe and engaging opportunities between the last school bell and the end of the work day. A well structured and supervised schedule is offered to yield positive outcomes for students and their families.
Parents’ Night Out
$9.00/hour*
Each additional child in same family – $5.00/hour/child
The Little School at Kids Cottage offers “Movie Night” for children one Saturday night a month from 7:00-9:00pm. The movie will be listed in the monthly calendars so you can plan ahead! This will include the movie, snack and a drink. Parents, drop your children off and take advantage of a night out! Feel free to drop your children off before the movie to play!
Pre-School – Kindergarten
Quality Education, Inspiring Young Minds, Creating Excellence
The Little School at Kids Cottage’s Preschool through Kindergarten offers weekly classes for children ages 18 months – 5 years. Our weekly themes are chosen to reflect the age and interests of the children in the program, with special attention given to community events and involvement, multi-cultural customs and celebrations, and developmentally appropriate skills and topics. Within each of these themes, a variety of activities that encourage the natural development of 3 to 5 year old children are uniquely planned for each group to best prepare them for the transition into kindergarten and to form a skill base that may be built upon for years to come. The curriculum emphasizes the whole child and includes activities in the following developmental areas: Language, Motor (gross motor and fine motor), Social, Emotional, and Cognitive. In addition to the classroom curriculum, our Preschoolers and Kindergarteners also experience a variety of specials outside the classroom including, Phonics, Music, Creative Movement, Spanish, Field Trips and Community Visitors.
Pre-School/K Program
Admission – Admission is on a first come, first serve basis, with an overall goal of the best possible mix of race, religion, sex, and economic status.
Registration – There is a non refundable fee of $100.00 to register and enroll your child with The Little School at Kids Cottage. This is payable at the time of registration, and is required to reserve a space for your child. There is a field trip yearly fee. Play Little is $150, and Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten is $250.
Withdrawal – A 30 day notice is required if you should chose to withdraw your child.
Refunds – After a 30 day withdrawal period, any advanced payments will be refunded.
